Arizona has had its share of female criminals, but in the late 1920s and early 1930s, three Arizona women committed sensational crimes that attracted the attention of the nation.
Eva Dugan, the subject of the first book in this series, was the housekeeper of Tucson rancher A. J. Mathis, who disappeared in 1927. She was an imposing figure, and the Pima County sheriff suspected her of killing the rancher from the beginning.
While Eva was serving a sentence at the state prison in Florence, Arizona, for stealing Mathis’ car, his body was found. The sheriff and county attorney took the dead rancher’s skull to the prison to confront her. She professed her innocence and went on trial for murder. The end of her story was quite spectacular.

I quick read for true crime readers. As an Arizonian, reading the newspaper's articles as a basis for the story was very interesting. Our wild west days didn't die in the 1800's.

Bad Girls of Arizona Eva Dugan eBook Johanna Eubank Tammie Graves Reviews
I enjoy reading true stories.
Interesting story, but relies to heavily on the newspaper accounts. Author, editor could have taken more voice and control to omit redundancies.
Finally read it and found it to be an easy read, suitable for kids, about another female legend of southern Arizona.
Yuck....didn't read well...poorly written..didn't make me care...no depth...written more textbook with bad grammer..I tried to read all three in this series and didn't enjoy any of them...
This book was a good book. I found it to be very interesting and great historical information. I read all three books of the Badgirls and I really liked them.
